His parents, James and Carol, were both educators. Ewan attended Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. McGregor is an avid motorcyclist who has ridden in a few marathons, one with his brother and father. He is an ambassador for UNICEF and once rode his bike through Nepal, India, and the Congo to deliver vaccines for children. This ruggedly handsome Scot is set to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a future Lucas Film series. He met his current girlfriend, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, on the set of Fargo. They were recently caught on camera on the streets of New York in a very intimate kiss.
