He was born and raised in Cheshire, England. Craig’s mother was an art teacher, and his father was in the Merchant Marines and later a steel worker and pub owner. His career began early, but his major acting debut was in the movie A Power of One in 1992. In this same year, he married actress Fiona Loudon, and they had a daughter named Ella. The couple divorced in 1994.

Craig went on to appear in many Hollywood films including Lara Croft Tomb Raider, The Road to Perdition, and eventually to his first Bond feature; Casino Royale in 2006. He continued his role as the illustrious James Bond for the next fourteen years. This is the longest run in this role. Sean Connery played Bond for nine years, and Roger Moore played him for twelve. Daniel Craig’s rugged good looks and on-screen chemistry with Judy Dench (M in the movies) make him arguably the best James Bond yet. His newest (and final) Bond film will be released to theaters in November, 2020. Because he is such a stud in Hollywood, we expect to see him for many more years to come.
