Darren’s mother, Cienna, is from the Philippines and his father, Charles is of German descent. At an early age, Criss began musical training in classical violin. In addition, he taught himself to play the guitar, mandolin, piano, harmonica, and the drums. He was a member of the famed Starkid Productions, a musical theater company in Chicago. Darren landed the starring role in their production of “A Very Potter Musical.” The talented actor went on to play Blaine Anderson in the wildly popular TV show Glee from 2010-2015. He is a multitalented singer, songwriter, and actor.
